EDUCATIONAL 

Buona parte delle proposte di Servito hanno origine dall’ingegno di giovani e studenti che si sperimentano nella progettazione e nei processi di realizzazione dell’oggetto di design.
Eta Beta promuove la ricerca e la sperimentazione di tecniche tradizionali e contemporanee, allo scopo di permettere una solida evoluzione alle pratiche artigiane grazie a giovani preparati dalle scuole di arti e mestieri che vogliono cimentarsi nel mondo del lavoro e dell’attività d’impresa. I mestieri proposti nei nostri laboratori sono:

 VETRO 

Le sue varie lavorazioni hanno seguito l’evoluzione umana fin dai tempi della Mesopotamia. Il vetro è un solido apparente, praticare la sua manifattura vuol dire accettare la sua natura volubile e creare oggetti unici.

La vetrofusione è una tecnica che permette di dare forma all’oggetto con il calore e la forza di gravità. Versatile e accessibile, permette di sperimentare e di spingere il vetro al massimo delle sue possibilità.

Il vetro utilizzato è principalmente di due tipi:

• Float: ovvero il vetro industriale nato negli anni ’50. A favore della sostenibilità ambientale il nostro vetro proviene da scarti di vetrerie industriali, utlizzando al massimo le lastre che sono state usate per la creazione di porte, docce, finestre,…

• Vetro di Murano: un’eccellenza del nostro territorio che trova in Servito un’elegante e personale interpretazione. Giocando con gli opachi, i neutri e qualche ben inserito colore vivace, i piatti in vetro di Murano di Servito sono adatti ad ospitare anche la più estrosa composizione alimentare.

 CERAMICA 

La terra, una delle prima manifatture dell’uomo, continua ad essere uno dei capisaldi della manipolazione. Il mondo dell’alimentazione è sempre stato strettamente coinvolto con la modellazione della terracotta: con queste solide fondamenta andiamo incontro alle nuove teconologie, tenendo stretto l’obiettivo di vivere la contemporaneità e il futuro.

 LEGNO 

un valido strumento per tradurre idee in oggetti di design è il legno, il quale offre le sue caratteristiche alla composizione del tableware.

Servito e Eta Beta usano materie prime nello spirito della sostenibilità, senza dimenticare la natura vitale del materiale e la sua trasformazione nel tempo.

 EDUCATIONAL 

Much of the proposals by Servito originate from the ingenuity of young people and students that experiment in designing and in the processes of making the design object.
Eta Beta promotes the research and experimentation of traditional and contemporary techniques, for the purpose of allowing a solid evolution to craft practices thanks to young people prepared by schools of arts and crafts who want to try their hand in the world of work and business activity. The crafts proposed in our labs are:

 GLASS 

Its various processes have followed human evolution since Mesopotamian times. Glass is an apparent solid, practicing its manufacture means accepting its fickle nature and creating unique objects.
The glass fusion is a technique that allows the object to be shaped by heat and gravity. Versatile and accessible, it allows one to experiment and push the glass to its full potential.
The glass we use is mainly of two types:
• Float: the industrial glass that was born in the 50s. In favor of environmental sustainability, our glass comes from waste from industrial glassworks, utilizing as much as possible the slabs that were used to create doors, showers, windows…
• Murano glass: an excellency of our territory that finds in Servito an elegant and personal interpretation. Playing with mattes, neutrals, and a few well inserted bright colors, Murano plates are suitable to accommodate even the most whimsical food composition.

 CERAMICS 

Land, one of the first manufactures of mankind, keeps on being one of the cornerstones of manipulation. The world of food has always been strictly involved with clay modeling: with these solid foundations, we are going towards new technologies, holding tightly to the goal of experiencing the contemporary and the future.

 WOOD 

A valid tool to translate ideas into design objects is wood, which offers its characteristics to the composition of the tableware.

Servito and Eta Beta use prime materials in the spirit of sustainability, without forgetting the vital nature of materials and their transformation throughout time.
